Commercial and Confidential Information Examples

Commercial and Confidential Information (CCI) that is privileged or confidential means valuable data or information which is used in one's business and is of a type customarily held in strict confidence or regarded as privileged and not disclosed to any member of the public by the person to whom it belongs. CCI can include, but is not limited to the following:

1. Company name

2. Submitter name

3. Employee names

4. Information relating to the intellectual property and business practices whether or not patented, patentable, capable of trade secret protection, or protected as an unpublished or published work under the United States copyright Act of 1976 as amended.

5. Information relating to research and development, inventions, discoveries, improvements, methods and processes and procedures, know-how, algorithms, formula, ingredients, compositions, work, concepts, designs, ideas prototypes, models drawing, samples, writing, notes, copyrights, and patent applications.

6. Information relating to business plans, products, services, proprietary manufacturing processes and methods that the Company considers confidential, costs, sources of supply, strategic marketing and advertising plans, customer lists, vendor lists, supplier lists, rates paid for goods and services, sales, profits, pricing methods, personnel and business relationships.

7. Information related to non-public violations, enforcement actions, recalls, seizures, and pending inquiries by domestic or foreign regulatory agencies

8. Financial information including all foreign and domestic shareholder information, investments, investment strategies, divestitures, and acquisition strategies.
